§7 Data security
During your visit to the website, we use the widely used SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol in conjunction with the highest encryption level supported by your browser. This is usually 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we will use 128-bit v3 technology instead. You can tell whether a particular page of our website is being transmitted in encrypted form by the closed representation of the key or padlock symbol in the status bar at the bottom of your browser.
We also employ appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or deliberate manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
§ 8 Web Analytics
We use the web analytics service Matomo to analyse and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics gathered enable us to improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. The Matomo software and the data collected via Matomo are operated, stored and processed exclusively on our own servers. We use Matomo with an extension to anonymise IP addresses. This ensures that IP addresses are processed in a truncated form, thereby ruling out any direct personal identification. Your IP address, collected in this way, is neither combined with other data we collect nor passed on to third parties.
If you do not agree to the anonymous storage and analysis of the data, you can object at any time with a single click. An opt-out cookie will then be set in your browser, with the result that Matomo will no longer collect session data.
To do this, follow this link to our cookie consent banner
https://www.plath-ag.ch/#cmpscreen, click the "Change settings" button and, under "Measurement", set the slider for Matomo at the bottom to inactive. Finally, click "Save & Exit" at the bottom.
§ 9 Social Networks
Our website does not use social media plugins. Social media plugins, such as the ‘Like’ button, are small buttons (e.g. below articles) that allow users to share content with others in a convenient way without leaving the website.
If you do find buttons with links to social networks, please note the privacy policies of these providers when using these links.
§ 10 Data portability
You have a right to data portability provided that the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) or Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR) or on a contract to which you are a party and the processing is carried out by automated means. In this case, the right to data portability includes the following rights, provided that this does not infringe upon the rights and freedoms of others:
You may request that we provide you with the personal data you have supplied to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
You have the right to transmit this data to another controller without hindrance from us.
Where technically feasible, you may request that we transmit your personal data directly to another controller.

You can access and print the current version of the privacy policy at any time on the website at https://www.plath-ag.ch/datenschutz.
